Thaugain was born among the common folk and entered House Melthos. He was bold, fickle and humble, with a gift for leading others. He gave House Melthos its name, and its motto: “One table, one roof”. He lived under the rule of Sauchia, Salziark and Mendbrark. He knew hunger in Stianess. He died of hunger in the autumn of year 194, at the age of 40. With his death House Melthos went out.
