Mathzal was born among the common folk, with no house or name in the chronicles, and entered House Ruirkzuen by marrying Chamau. He was humble, patient and pious, with a gift for keeping the accounts. In the autumn of year 190 he married Maustia. From year 189 he was at the head of Stianess until his death. He decided to lift the rationing (3 times) and to ration the grain (2 times). He lived under the rule of Sauchia, Salziark and Mendbrark. He knew hunger in Stianess. He died of hunger in the winter of year 191, at the age of 43. With his death House Ruirkzuen went out.
