Maitha was born among the common folk, with no house or name in the chronicles, and entered House Tastai by marrying Muinzuind. She was ambitious, bold and pious, with a gift for dealing with people. From year 139 she was at the head of Llaness until her death. She gave House Tastai its name, and its motto: “What is one's is all's”. She decided to raise houses (10 times). She lived under the rule of Manra, Densond, Mosskos, Tuindtuend and Sauchia. She knew hunger in Llaness. When she died, House Tastai counted 2 other members. She died in a logging accident in the summer of year 147, at the age of 52. The house she founded would go out in the summer of year 159.
