Gochues was born among the common folk, with no house or name in the chronicles, and entered House Thianme by marrying Mathmain. He was cautious, easily content and generous. He gave House Thianme its name, and its motto: “What endures, remains”. He lived under the rule of Sauchia, Salziark and Mendbrark. He knew hunger in Stianess. When he died, House Thianme counted one other member. He died of old age in the autumn of year 226, at the age of 65. The house he founded would go out in the spring of year 227.
