Chelllend was born among the common folk, with no house or name in the chronicles, and entered House Mesdairk by marrying Skaurau. He was greedy, skeptical and vengeful, with a gift for the old lore. He gave House Mesdairk its name, and its motto: “One table, one roof”. He lived under the rule of Mendbrark and Duirklath. He knew hunger in Llaness. He died of hunger in the autumn of year 259, at the age of 49. With his death House Mesdairk went out.
