Brochia was born among the common folk, with no house or name in the chronicles, and entered House Skaumal by marrying Mobraund. He was bold, greedy and humble, with a gift for dealing with people. He gave House Skaumal its name, and its motto: “Name before bread”. He lived under the rule of Sauchia, Salziark and Mendbrark. He knew hunger in Zailira. He died of hunger in the winter of year 207, at the age of 38. With his death House Skaumal went out.
