Chapter 1 · The first Methllerk

The eras

An era is about 1.75 years of the world. The quiet ones are in grey.

Era 1 · Spring, year 1

In the spring of year 1, 180 Hesari who had lived side by side took a name for themselves: the Methllerk. They raised their first settlement, Mueness, among the marshes. They put the community, strength and honor before all else. Among them the ruler was chosen by their own people, and they lived with one eye on the gods. Lollork and 4 of his kin took the name of House Thomue, with a motto: “Let no one have to remind us”. The Methllerk set Tuelsue, of House Giasrial, at their head. She was ambitious, fickle and greedy. Masa died of old age in Mueness, already an old man. He was bold, easily content and generous. He left a child. Mueness had 188 people. Tuelsue ruled. Fear was growing.

Era 2 · Winter, year 2

Hunger came to Mueness: there was food for only 59% of what its 195 people needed. One of them died. In Mueness, Stasrasdal died of old age, already an old man. He left a child. Thuemond died of old age in Mueness, already an old man. He left a child. Tuelsue decided to found a new settlement, because she was ambitious. Lluisgue left Mueness with 51 settlers and founded Llaness in the forest. There was not enough in Llaness; 70% of the need was met. The fields of Mueness gave enough once more: 213% of the need. In Llaness the harvest fed everyone again, covering 207% of what was eaten. By agreement of Tuelsue, Chuenchui, of House Lliagail, married Llendlo, of House Gonskaurk. Mueness had 156 people and Llaness 49. Tuelsue ruled. The mood was calm.
